Programs

Food pantry: Serving Our Community with Care

The Food Pantry is a monthly initiative held on the third Saturday of every month from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the AIC (AlNoor Islamic Center) cafeteria. Dedicated to supporting families in need, we provide groceries to families, including essentials such as rice, pasta, oil, flour, sugar, canned vegetables, and meat or chicken.
This program reflects our commitment to compassion and community, ensuring that those in need have access to nutritious food in a welcoming and respectful environment. Join us in making a positive impact and fostering care within our community.

Feed the Hungry: Sharing Meals, Spreading Compassion

The Feed the Hungry program is a monthly effort to serve hot, nutritious meals to those in need. Taking place on the fourth Saturday of every month from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Fuquay-Varina Emergency Food Pantry, this initiative provides free meals to 100-110 individuals.
Each meal includes rice, chicken, salad, ranch dressing, and fruit or cookies, offering nourishment and care to our community members. Join us in this meaningful act of kindness, as we work together to alleviate hunger and spread compassion.

Financial assistance: Supporting Our Community in Times of Need

The Financial Assistance program is dedicated to providing emergency support to individuals and families facing unexpected challenges. We coordinate responses to natural disasters, economic crises, and other urgent situations, ensuring timely and effective aid for those most in need.
Our mission is to offer relief and stability to vulnerable groups during difficult times, reflecting our commitment to compassion and community care. Together, we strive to make a difference when it matters most.

Zakat Distribution: Supporting Those in Need with Integrity

The Zakat Distribution program ensures that Zakat is disbursed responsibly and in accordance with Islamic guidelines. In collaboration with masjids across the area, we carefully assess the eligibility of individuals and families from our community and surrounding communities to provide support to those who need it most.
This program reflects our dedication to upholding the principles of Zakat, offering financial assistance with transparency and compassion, and fostering a stronger, more supportive community for all.

Ramadan Food Boxes: Nourishing Families, Spreading Blessings

The Ramadan Food Boxes program is a weekly initiative during the blessed month of Ramadan, held every Saturday at the AlNoor Masjid cafeteria. This effort provides needy families in our community with essential food supplies to support them during this sacred time.
Each food box contains staples such as rice, pasta, flour, sugar, oil, vegetables, fruits, and chicken, ensuring families have the nourishment they need to observe Ramadan with dignity and ease. This program embodies the spirit of giving and unity, bringing blessings to both those who give and those who receive.

Ramadan Iftar: Sharing Meals, Strengthening Bonds

The Ramadan Iftar program offers a daily gathering during weekdays in Ramadan, providing a warm and welcoming environment for single brothers and sisters to break their fast together. Held at the AlNoor Masjid cafeteria.

Udhiya Program: Sharing the Joy of Eid ul-Adha

The Udhiya Program is a vital initiative held during Eid ul-Adha, embodying the spirit of sacrifice and generosity. With the support of grants from Islamic Relief, we coordinate the slaughter of 4-6 cows, distributing 10 pounds of meat to each of 200-220 families in need.
This program serves families across Raleigh, Cary, Durham, Fuquay-Varina, Burlington, Rocky Mount, and beyond, including masjids throughout the Triangle area and vulnerable groups such as refugees and the Rohingya community. Through the Udhiya Program, we come together to ensure that the blessings of Eid are shared far and wide.

School backpacks with school supplies

The School Backpacks with Supplies program is an annual initiative held during the back-to-school season in August and September. At the AlNoor Masjid cafeteria, we provide families with school-aged children essential supplies to set their students up for success.

Each backpack is thoughtfully packed with items like crayons, colored pencils, pens, rulers, and more, ensuring students have the tools they need for a productive school year. This program reflects our commitment to education and community support, helping families ease the burden of school preparations.

Eid Gift Program: Spreading Joy to Families

The Eid Gift Program is a heartfelt initiative designed to bring happiness and ease to families during the joyous occasion of Eid. Families are gifted monetary support based on their size:

  • Families with 3 members receive $50
  • Families with 4-6 members receive $100
  • Families with 7 or more members receive $150

Hygiene Kit Program: Promoting Compassion and Connection

The Hygiene Kit Program is a collaborative initiative supported by a grant from Islamic Relief, aimed at fostering unity and serving those in need. The program is part of a large interfaith event called Compassion Day, held twice a year in partnership with churches and other faith organizations in the area.
During this event, hosted at a major church, hygiene kits are distributed to non-Muslims in need, reflecting our commitment to compassion and care. Beyond providing essential supplies, this gathering serves as a platform for building bridges between diverse religions, cultures, and backgrounds, while participating in Dawa and spreading the message of Islam through action and engagement.
